Who needs this course?

ImageThe General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) is mandatory for employers, self employed persons and workers doing construction work or removing asbestos materials. Delivery must be done by a registered training organisation. This course can be delivered face to face (4 hours) or via distance education.


Course Outline:

The course aims to provide basic health and safety education to all people working in the building and construction industry. Attendees will acquire knowledge of:

  • Legislative requirements and responsibilities
  • Basic concepts of workplace health and safety plans and work method statements
  • Physical building and construction hazards
  • Basic risk management concepts including hazard identification, assessment of risks, control of risks and evaluation of control measures
  • Hierarchy of controls (eliminate, substitute, redesign, isolate, administrate and the use of personal protective equipment
  • Emergency procedures


National Accreditation

This program is nationally accredited as (30215QLD) General Safety Induction.


Certificate

Each competent participant will receive a nationally accredited certificate in 30215QLD General Safety Induction, and a Construction Blue Card.
