The General Safety Induction( Construction Industry) is mandatory for employer, self employed persons and workers doing construction work or removing asbestos materials. Delivery must be done by a registered training organisation.

 

The course aims to provide basic health and safety education to all people working in the building and construction industry. Attendees will acquire knowledge of:

• Legislative requirements and responsibilities
• Basic concepts of workplace health and safety plans and work method statements
• Physical building and construction hazards
• Basic risk management concepts including hazard identification, assessment of risks, control of risks and evaluation of control measures
• Hierarchy of controls (eliminate, substitute, redesign, isolate, administrate and the use of personal protective equipment
• Emergency procedures

 

This program is nationally accredited as (30215QLD) General Safety Induction.  AT&SI are accredited to deliver this course via face to face delivery (4 hours) or via correspondence delivery. Each competent participant will receive a nationally accredited certificate in 30215QLD General Safety Induction, and a Construction Blue Card.
