Who needs this course?

This course is designed to cover the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to conduct day to day TAB operations. TAB refers to Totalisator Agency Board operations and may cover horseracing and betting on other sports according to state and territory practices.

Course outline:

• Set up a TAB outlet
• Advise customers on TAB operations and regulations
• Operate the TAB betting machine
• Perform TAB terminal accounting and security procedures
• Monitor daily racing activities
• Clean and maintain TAB equipment
  

Prerequisites:

Students must be at least 18 years of age
Successful completion of SITHGAM006A - Provide Responsible Gambling Services (Responsible Conduct of Gaming in NSW)

Duration:

This training is conducted face to face over 6 hours.

National accreditation:

This course is nationally accredited as (SITHGAM002A) Operate a TAB Outlet.

Course outcome

Upon successful completion of this course students will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment.
