Who needs this course?

This course is designed to cover the skills and knowledge required to responsibly sell or serve alcohol and to satisfy the requirements for responsible sale and service of alcohol (RSA) under state or territory legislation. This course covers the RSA skill and knowledge requirements common to New South Wales.

Course outline:

  • Serve or sell alcohol responsibly
  • Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits
  • Assess alcohol affected customers and identify customers to whom sale or service must be refused
  • Refuse to provide alcohol

Prerequisites:

Students must be at least 18 years of age.

Duration:

This training is conducted face to face over 6 hours.

National Accreditation:

This course is nationally accredited as (SITHFAB009A) Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol and satisfies all requirements of the NSW Casino, Liquor & Gaming Authority to work in the NSW hospitality industry.

Course outcome

Upon successful completion of this course students will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment from AT$SI and a Casino, Liguor & Gaming Control Authority Certificate.
